Safari comes up with strange Cisco screen asking for password. I've never, to my knowledge had anything to do with Cisco. Please help, Cisco says they are investigating but for two days now I haven't been able to get on internet. This is on my G4 running 10.4.11 Thank you

Are you connecting, or attempting to using Airport/Wifi?
10.4 directions which vary slightly for 10.5, but...
Go to System Preferences
Click Network
Highlight AirPort and click Configure...
Choose “By default, join: Preferred networks”
Select your access point and Remove your access point with the minus ➖ button.
Launch your keychain access in Utilities and delete your access point keychain entry.
Reboot
Go back to the “By default, join:” page and click the plus ➕ this time to add your access point. Enter the correct password, save, reboot.
Instead of joining it from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

Sorry, jumped the gun. Rebooted and am back to the Cisco screen.
Airport selects wrong network. Selected proper network and Cisco screen is gone?
Open System Preferences>Network>Show:>Airport>Airport tab>Options button, uncheck Automatically add new Networks to preferred network list, & maybe a couple other choices do check, click OK, hen remove the Cisco one if it shows by highlighting it & clicking the little minus icon below.
It appears there's a new stronger signal from a neighbor's Cisco Router nearby.
This procedure did the trick. Thanks again

For the first time ever, this Cisco showed up on my husband's computer when he went to he home yahoo page on Safari. We didn't know what to do to get rid of this sign in page. Finally I shut down his computer and when it started up all was fine until tonight and suddenly this cisco signin page showed up again. We shut his computer case and when I opened it all was okay. Now I find this discussion and tried to follow the advice, but we have a different set up.
We are not using airport, but our wifi goes thru the apple Time Capsule and in system prefs/network there is nothing that says airport. if I look at the info in airport utility under wireless clients there is nothing that indicates cisco. So I did uncheck where it says ask to join new networks and maybe that will put an end to this.
I see that the latest posts here is over a year ago and yet this never happened to us till now.
